Library Media Specialist
I began my career at the Eureka Springs School District in August 2012 as a Library Media Specialist 7-12 and ESL Coordinator K-12. My favorite moments are when students excitedly tell me about books – favorite books, books they have just finished reading, how they used to dislike reading and now love it, etc. I am constantly learning and growing in my roles, I am very excited about library science and envision this as my career until retirement and then as an opportunity for community service after retirement. What can I say – I love reading!
As a Library Media Specialist, my goal is to increase awareness and efficient use of sources of reading for pleasure and information, print and nonprint.
As an ESL Coordinator, my goal is to bridge the gap for students of other languages, provide support for staff, and encourage involvement of parents of ESL students in their children’s educational process.
