Renaissance is a joint school-community project designed to reward and to recognize student achievement and behavior. Students qualify for The Renaissance Program based on their academic performance the previous semester. To obtain a gold card, students must have achieved a 4.0 GPA. To obtain a silver card students must have achieved a 3.50 - 3.99 GPA. And, to achieve a bronze card, students must have achieved a 3.00 – 3.49 GPA. A student earning a ‘C’ or below will not be eligible for the Renaissance program. This program provides a variety of benefits and privileges to reward those students who are giving their best efforts to their education, their school, and their community. Academic Gold, Silver, and Bronze cardholders are not only entitled to school privileges, they are also entitled to discounts, gifts, and trips provided for them by the community Renaissance Committee. The annual academic awards ceremony, “How Sweet It Is” is held each fall to honor the classroom achievement of the previous school year. Being a Renaissance cardholder is indeed an honor. Renaissance students also have a responsibility. The school and community expect that this student will be a reflection of the strong ESHS tradition of excellence. The behavior of Renaissance students should be exemplary. Benefits and privileges may be suspended or revoked if the student’s behavior during school related activities is called into question. Rules and details about the program can be obtained from the sponsor.
