I graduated from Newport High School in Newport, Arkansas in 1987. I went to the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, Arkansas. I graduated in 1991 with a BS in Early Childhood Education.

I started teaching in Eureka Springs in the Fall of 1992.
I have taught in this district for over 20 years.
I am the instructional facilitator for the Elementary School. I am also the testing coordinator and ACIP chairperson.
My first teaching job was in Grubbs, Arkansas. I taught 6th grade.
I have taught 4th grade, Kindergarten, 2nd grade and I was the school Counselor for one year in Eureka Springs. I taught Reading Recovery and did small group reading interventions for 9 years.
I have been married to Joe McClung for 23 years. We have two boys, Jake and Mathew McClung. Both boys attended Eureka Springs Schools throughout their school years. Jake is a Senior at the University of Arkansas. He is studying Biology. Mathew has decided on a career in the Navy. He attended the U of A his Freshman year.
I love to read. I love to exercise. I have been doing Cross Fit for over two years. I enjoy jogging, walking, swimming, and skiing (water and snow). I love the Razorbacks! I attend most of the home Razorback football games and many basketball. Go Hogs!
