Major Scales

The Major Scale

A scale is constructed in a series of whole and half steps. The pattern usually follows the structure of one alphabet letter following another alphabet letter and so on. (e.g.- A, B, C, D etc…)

The major scale is constructed of 8 pitches with the 1st and 8th pitch being the same letter name; however, the 1st and 8th pitch are 8 notes apart (octave).
