The Carroll County Educational Cooperative is finalizing its Hazard Mitigation Plan draft prior to submission to the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management and FEMA for review and approval. The plan assesses natural hazards’ risk and vulnerabilities for the Berryville, Eureka Springs, and Green Forest School Districts. It provides recommendations to increase their hazard resiliency and reduce risk. In doing so, these actions aim to protect property and those who work at and attend the school districts.
The draft will be available for review by request for a period of two weeks, from January 9th to January 23rd, 2020. Any parties interested in reviewing the draft should contact Aliza Jones at: Aliza.jones@lavacaschools.
