It was Renaissance Fun Day at Farmland Adventures! Students earning honor roll status this semester traveled to the pumpkin patch and corn maze (as voted on! 🙃) to test their navigational skills, purchase carving pumpkins, ride pedal karts, pet the animals and more! Way to work hard to play hard, Highlanders! 💪🏼

The Lady Highlanders Volleyball takes on Lifeway Christian today starting at 4:30 with a Jr High match followed by the Varsity match.

All high school Renaissance students will travel on a field trip on Monday. Please remember to bring lunch money. UPDATE: OUR HIGHLANDERS WON BOTH MATCHES! Our first foray into the Esports competitive gaming world. This is our League of Legends team competing in their first match against one of the teams from the Don Tyson School of Innovation. Good luck gentlemen!!

Volleyball is home tonight vs Decatur in a conference match up! Also, we are raffling off tickets for a chance to pie Coach McVay in the face between the Jr High and Varsity games.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Loudermilk, a finalist for the University of Arkansas Homecoming court! Elizabeth is nominated through her work with the Volunteer Action Center on campus. “The Associated Student Government, in conjunction with the Arkansas Alumni Association, announces the Top 12 Homecoming candidates. These students advance in the search for the 2021 Homecoming King and Queen. These students were selected for their contributions to campus and the student body.”

REMINDER! Parents and students! Letter jackets are available to order! Students in grades 9-12 may order a jacket with their name, graduation year and athletic number. The ESHS Booster Club generously pays $40 to assist. Students may add athletic 'inserts' and patches after completing one year of play. Jostens will be here to meet with Juniors about class rings and Seniors about graduation packets on Monday, October 4th at 1pm. A virtual link will be sent out to students and/or parents that want to join via student's emails.

A big congratulations to Thomas Hayden! He was awarded a National Merit Scholarship Program Letter of Commendation for his outstanding performance on the PSAT exam in 2020! He scored among the top 50,000 high scorers across the entire country and is eligible for special scholarships sponsored by corporations and businesses. Congrats Thomas!

Governor Hutchinson declared September 29th as A Day of Prayer for Arkansas Students for all schools in our state. We will recognize this at our moment of silence that day.

The service for Nathan Howton will be on Friday, September 24, 2021 at 2:00pm at First Christian Church on Passion Play Rd. The high school ONLY will be dismissed at 1:25pm to allow students to attend the service. Students are allowed to leave campus at 1:25 via their own transportation to attend the service. If not attending the service, students may be dismissed at this time to go home if they have transportation. Students not attending the service but needing bus transportation may stay until 3:05. Busses will run at the normal time. ***A PERMISSION SLIP IS REQUIRED FOR A 1:25 RELEASE. STUDENTS RECEIVED THOSE TODAY AT SCHOOL.*** The family requests that all attendees wear a mask.
