Thursday was National Unicorn Day, and our kindergarten students had a magical (and messy!) learning experience. Mrs. Miller’s high school science class stopped by and led a hands-on “Unicorn Toothpaste” experiment—also known as elephant toothpaste. Along the way, students explored chemical reactions and learned important lab safety rules.
Friday brought a double celebration with National Farm Animal Day and National Encourage a Young Writer Day. A special visit from Mrs. Jessy’s farm animals sparked creativity as students turned their experiences into writing.
They had the chance to meet Harry the Rabbit, Snowflake the Lamb, Clancy the Puppy, plus a chicken and a duck—proving once again that animals inspire some of the very best storytelling!
