🎉 Exciting news! Thanks to our alternative schedule, extra minutes added each day, and using just 4 snow days, we get to start summer early! ☀️📚 Our last day of school will be Tuesday, May 19.

🐣 Kindergarten had an "eggcellent" Phonics Hunt this morning! They discovered rainbow words and built some fun sentences. Next up: “cracking” math fun, followed by a rainbow science activity this afternoon! 🌈 🎨 PreK got creative with homemade puffy paint Easter eggs today—so much fun!

🎶 Get ready for an evening of incredible music! 🎶 Eureka Springs Bands proudly presents A Spring Awakening on April 16th at 6 PM in the Eureka Springs High School Auditorium. Spring has officially sprung in our first grade classrooms! 🌸🌱 The air is buzzing with excitement as we grow our minds right along with our plants. In science, we’re digging into how plants sprout, stretch, and soak up the sunshine—it’s unbe-leaf-ably fun! 🌿 We’re also cracking into the life cycle of chickens and watching in egg-cellent anticipation as we learn how baby chicks hatch. It’s all it’s cracked up to be! 🐣 Our classroom is blooming with curiosity, and every day is a fresh chance to plant new ideas and watch them grow! 🌷

💓 Exciting News! Our school is now officially a Heart Safe School through Project ADAM through Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Thanks to our school nurses, our staff received life-saving CPR and AED training, ensuring we are prepared to respond in the event of a cardiac emergency. This training equips our team with the skills and confidence to act quickly and potentially save a life. Today drills were conducted in coordination with Eureka Springs Police Department and Eureka Springs Fire and EMS. From bumps and bruises to everyday encouragement, Nurse Meghan goes above and beyond to make every child feel seen, valued, and cared for. She doesn’t stop there—she checks in on staff too, promoting wellness both in and out of school.

The seniors absolutely stole the show this April Fool’s Day with a FABULOUS prank! 🎈 From “flocking” the principal’s office to building epic balloon walls, they brought the fun in the best way. Creative, harmless, and full of school spirit—this one will be hard to top! Way to go, seniors! 👏

Eureka Springs Elementary wrapped up an incredible journey with our One School, One Book reading of Charlotte’s Web! 🐷🕸️ What a special time it has been reading together as a school family—sharing chapters, completing challenges, and building a love of stories along the way. Several classes went above and beyond, completing every challenge and earning a well-deserved pizza party! 🍕 A huge shoutout to our amazing specials team for organizing this experience from start to finish. Because of you, our students continue to grow their love of reading in such a fun and meaningful way! 📚❤️

Our 2nd graders are soaking up this beautiful weather while learning all about rainbows! 🌈☀️ From sunlight to water droplets, they’re discovering how rainbows form and why we see those vibrant colors in the sky. Hands-on learning + a gorgeous day = the perfect combination!

Wrapping up an incredible week at the EAST Conference! 👏 Our students represented us so well—not only showcasing their hard work, but also stepping out, learning from others, and gaining fresh ideas to bring back to our programs. That’s what it’s all about! A special shoutout to Kayleigh Peters for receiving the Difference Maker Award! This honor recognizes students who use technology and community-driven, project-based learning to create meaningful change—and Kayleigh truly embodies that mission. We are so proud!
