📢✨ February is Career & Technical Education Month! ✨📢
Mrs. Billie Reed, our CTE Business Teacher, helps prepare students for success through three dynamic programs:
💻 Digital Marketing (Digital Marketing & Markets & Analytics)
🏦 Banking (Principles of Banking & Accounting I)
🛍️ Retail Management (Retail Business & Accounting I)
📊 Survey of Business is the Level 1 course for all three Programs of Study, giving students a strong foundation in business principles!
Our students don’t just learn in the classroom—they engage with the community! 🌍 Through FBLA, students lead the annual Thanksgiving food drive to give back and make a difference. 💙🦃
💼 Why is CTE important?
✔️ FBLA provides leadership development, networking, and hands-on experience 💡
✔️ Prepares students with real-world business skills & industry certifications 🎓
✔️ Offers work-based learning for a head start on careers & college 🚀
We’re proud to offer opportunities that shape future business leaders and help students gain valuable skills for their future! 🙌

🌍💎 Mining for Knowledge in 7th Grade Science! 💎🌍
Dr. P's 7th grade science students are digging into the world of minerals and ores with a sweet hands-on activity! 🍪⛏️
Using "cookie ore," students developed their own mines, carefully safeguarded the environment, and worked to turn a profit by extracting valuable "minerals" (chocolate chips). They had to purchase equipment, map their mine, extract resources, and reclaim the land—all while tracking their business success on a profit and loss sheet.
The best part? After all their hard work, they got to eat the profits! 😋👏

🐾💛 Scotties have been busy putting the "I" in Kind for Kindness Week! 💛🐾
Our students took part in a school-wide coin war, raising an incredible $1,130.71 for Good Shepherd Humane Society! 🎉
✨ 2nd grade practiced their addition skills by counting all the donations.
✨ 3rd grade will be reading recipes and baking delicious dog biscuits for shelter pups.
✨ 4th grade will be writing their own books and reading to puppies before the end of the school year! 📚🐶
We love seeing our Scotties spread kindness in such creative ways! 💙 #KindnessWeek #ScottiesGiveBack #GoodShepherdHumaneSociety
