BIG CONGRATS to our ESHS Chess team for finishing 2nd place in the Sr. High Regional Chess Tournament!! Aiden was also awarded 3rd place for individual high score. Super job, Highlanders!!


Our high school Renaissance students celebrated a fun day out at Big Air Branson on Wednesday! These students have worked diligently in the classroom and their grades reflect their efforts. They spent the day on trampolines, climbing high as the sky and spinning round and round! 🧗

October 16-22 is Arkansas Safe Schools Week. At ESSD, the safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. As a reminder, visitors must have a scheduled appointment and valid identification to enter the school building. Thank you to Officer Ramos and ESPD for working with us to continually improve our building safety plans!


Our Talent Search students toured the University of Arkansas on this beautiful fall day. 🍂

Guidelines for Pajama Day
*Must have top and bottom (No pajama dresses without pants or leggings, onesies can be difficult for young students in the restroom)
*No “back flap” PJs
*Slippers are okay; bring appropriate shoes to go outside.
*Robes are acceptable (dress code must be followed underneath robe)
Please remember that dress is for school, not home. Thank you!

October is Fire Safety Month! Thanks to ESFD for educating our students this week. Be sure to check the batteries in your smoke alarms.



Congratulations to our high school counselor Rachal Hyatt for being selected as a 2022 McDonald's Outstanding Educator by our local McDonald's restaurant! Over 500 nominations from local community members, parents, and fellow educators were received, expressing what makes their favorite teachers the "best in the bunch." Great job, Ms. Hyatt, for rising to the top as one of the most outstanding educators in our area!


Leo Alpizar has been named the Eureka Springs Rotary Student of the Month for September 2022. Leo is the son of Ron and Sandra Lee. Leo maintains a 3.81 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society and Renaissance. He is on the Student Council. Leo is the Captain of the Eureka Springs High School Soccer Team. He enjoys working with the soccer team and staying physically fit. Family time is spent fishing and he enjoys cooking with his mother. Leo is fascinated by the medical field and hopes to become a Registered Nurse. He currently works at the Balcony Restaurant as a food runner. Congrats!


Our high school students were treated to the most wonderful performance by the The Young Americans today! They performed a medley hits from the Beatles to Elvis and more. Catch them in town…they are wonderful!!! 🎶

A great group of sophomores are celebrating hard work and high test scores from last spring at Silver Dollar City today!! 🎢 Also, shout out to their Principal, Mr. Gilmore, for driving them to Branson and celebrating along with them! (It happens to also be his birthday so his staff recommended famous SDC kettle corn and funnel cake to celebrate‼️). Have a great time, Highlanders!!
