🎉 Today we wrapped up Dr. Seuss Week in the most creative way! 🎩📚 After reading several Dr. Seuss books and exploring their unique illustrations, Mrs. Alyissa's 3rd-grade class put their imaginations to work! ✨ Students designed their very own Dr. Seuss-inspired villages 🏡🎨—complete with whimsical details and colorful creativity. Then, they wrote about their villages, bringing their Seussical worlds to life with fun and exciting adventures! 🌈✏️ What a fantastic way to celebrate the joy of reading and storytelling! 📖💡

Mrs. Scott’s students got their hands dirty planting sunflowers, daisies, bell peppers, and zucchini! Now, the waiting game begins—germination takes anywhere from 7 to 21 days. 🎉 Congratulations, Eureka Springs Middle School! 🎉 We are proud to announce that Eureka Springs Middle School has been recognized by the Office for Education Policy (OEP) at the University of Arkansas as a school where students demonstrated high growth on the ATLAS! 📚✨ These awards are based on the 2024 content growth score calculated by the Division of Elementary and Secondary Education. Growth scores measure how much our students improved from 2023 compared to students with similar prior achievement. 👏 Way to go, students, teachers, and staff! Your hard work and dedication continue to make a difference!

Rowan Beattie, the daughter of Lilia Sternet and Roderick Beattie, has been selected as the Eureka Springs Rotary Student of the Month for January 2025. Rowan, a senior at Eureka Springs High School is the founder and President of College Prep Club, President of National Honor Society, President of NAMI and Quiz Bowl Captain. She is a member of the Mountain Biking Club and has helped with trail restoration and maintains the social media page. She enjoys teaching kids how to bike and helps her peers with college applications. She also serves as a student aide in Science Classes. Rowan maintains a 4.1 GPA. She enjoys art, photography and just being outdoors. Following graduation, Rowan plans to pursue a double major in Biology and Environmental Science but hasn’t ruled out engineering and math.

Today, our AP Biology students took science to the next level by amplifying their own DNA to examine their genetics. Hands-on learning at its finest! 🧬✨
