🎉 Island Airco's Hustlin' Highlander of the Week: Isaac Walden 🎉
This week’s spotlight shines on a true warrior—3rd grader Isaac Walden!
In July 2023, Isaac was diagnosed with Severe Aplastic Anemia, a rare condition where the body stops producing red blood cells due to bone marrow failure. He bravely underwent a bone marrow transplant in October 2023, spending 34 days at Children's Hospital and 5 months at the Ronald McDonald House during recovery.
Thanks to a selfless donor, Isaac is now 19 months post-transplant and thriving!
Just last week, Make-A-Wish Mid-South granted Isaac and his family the trip of a lifetime—a magical week at Disney World, filled with fun, laughter, and memories to last forever.
Way to go, Isaac! Your courage, strength, and hustle inspire us all! 💙💫🌟

🌻 What a fun day at the Farmers Market! 🌽🍓
Our students loved touring all the booths and getting a peek inside the greenhouse to see the magic happening there! A huge thank you to the amazing vendors who generously provided gifts for our littles— your kindness made their day extra special! 💚👩🌾🧑🌾

4th Grade Puppy Fun!!
Our 4th grade students took a special trip to the Good Shepherd Humane Society today to wrap up our Elementary Kindness Project!
It all started with a school-wide coin war in February, raising $1130.71 for the shelter. In March, our 3rd graders whipped up homemade dog biscuits. And today, 4th graders shared their creative talents by reading their very own books to the shelter pups!
Scottie Kindness for the WIN!

🎓 Senior Awards & Scholarship Ceremony 🎓
Join us as we honor the Class of 2025!
📅 Wednesday, May 14th
🕘 9:00 AM
📍 Eureka Springs Auditorium
We invite all parents and families to attend and help us celebrate the incredible achievements of our seniors. Let’s give them the recognition they deserve!

📚 Something truly amazing happened last Friday!
One of our incredibly generous Scottie parents came in and bought a book for EVERY single student in our school—Pre-K through 4th grade—at the book fair! ❤️
This parent asked for no recognition, only hoping to inspire others with the same spirit of giving. Her one wish? That every child would get to experience the joy of choosing a book of their own. What a beautiful reminder of the power of kindness and community. 💛

♟️ Our Chess Team is back from the Orlando SuperNationals with TWO team trophies and an individual medal! 🏆🎉
👏 William Vaverka, Sonny Thao, Draven Cummings, and Bonus Shock placed 16th as a team in their section. Seniors JD Eckman, Finn Van Sickle, Roman Schuber, and Riley Chapman brought home 12th, with JD earning our only individual medal—11th out of 305 players! 🥇
Mia Renko, Amber Kirk, Christian Thao, Cael Dempsie, and Chase Abendroth all notched national-level wins as well! 💪
Huge thanks to the Northwest Arkansas Chess Center for making this trip possible, to Kelly Otterman for driving us all those long miles, and to every supporter who helped along the way. What an incredible way to close out the year! 🚌🌟♟️

Our Shooting Sports team had a great weekend in Jacksonville!
Our juniors didn’t have a full team, but Caleb Jones still made a strong showing—placing 52nd out of 445 competitors!
Our senior high team ranked 22nd out of 130 teams—just six spots away from qualifying for state! Special shoutout to Holden Nance for placing 22nd individually out of 551 competitors! We’re proud of all of you!

Our very own Addie Blackwelder is competing at the State Track Meet today in Quitman! Let’s cheer her on as she represents Eureka Springs with strength and determination! Go Addie!
