Eureka Springs High School students had an incredible opportunity to participate in the Be Pro Be Proud Draft Day event on Friday, and it was nothing short of inspiring! This event connected students directly with industry leaders, offering hands-on experiences and real-world career opportunities including interviews in high-demand trades and skilled professions. 🔹 Why was this event so beneficial? ✅ Career Exploration – Students discovered high-paying, in-demand jobs that don’t require a four-year degree. ✅ Hands-On Experience – They engaged with state-of-the-art simulators in fields like welding, trucking, plumbing, and advanced manufacturing. ✅ Job & Training Connections – Many students walked away with letters of intent to hire, putting them on the fast track to a successful career. ✅ Real-World Readiness – They gained valuable insights into industries looking for motivated, skilled workers. This event empowered our students to explore career paths that align with their strengths and passions while also filling critical workforce gaps. We’re so proud of our students for taking this step toward a bright future! 🌟

The remainder of the baseball games on Friday have been canceled due to lightning and weather conditions. Our Highlanders won game one and the second game will be rescheduled.

Her classroom is a space where students feel inspired to take risks, try new techniques, and develop their artistic skills. Whether guiding them through painting or sculpture, Brianna’s enthusiasm makes a lasting impact. We’re so lucky to have her shaping the next generation of artists! 🎭🎨

📚✏️ Fun with the Writing Process! ✏️📚 Our District Curriculum Director, Rachal Hyatt, was caught in action teaching a 3rd-grade writing lesson! She kicked things off with A Bad Case of Stripes 🌈📖 to inspire creativity, then guided students through the writing process—brainstorming ideas, organizing their thoughts, drafting, revising, and sharing their work. It’s all about building confident writers, one step at a time! ✍️✨

The Eureka Springs Rotary Student of the month for February 2025 is Fuller Cross. Fuller, a senior at Eureka Springs High School is the son of John Cross Jr. and Jennifer Cross. He is the Vice President of Skills USA and also participates in Baseball, Basketball and CIA. Fuller currently works at the Blue Spring Heritage Center. He enjoys building things and working out.

2nd graders are growing their minds—and their plants! Mrs. Scott is extending their science learning with fun read-alouds while they grow their own plants in class. We LOVE science!! 🌱📚

📢 FBLA Guest Speaker Spotlight: Jeff Lewis 📢 Jeff Lewis brought incredible insight to our FBLA class, sharing his journey from a young entrepreneur mowing lawns to owning incredibly successful businesses. His experience, from managing a grocery store to running Wanderlust RV Park, highlighted the value of hands-on learning, continuous education, and the power of smart business decisions. His advice on stepping back to grow a business resonated with our students. Thank you, Jeff, for your time and wisdom! 👏

🌟 Staff Spotlight: Mr. Kyle Farrar 🌟 Meet Mr. Kyle Farrar, our dedicated math teacher and golf coach! ⛳📐 Mr. Farrar brings geometry to life in the classroom, keeping students engaged and excited to learn through interactive lessons and real-world applications. His passion for teaching helps students build confidence in their math skills while making learning both fun and meaningful. When he's not teaching, you’ll find him coaching our Highlander golf team, guiding student-athletes to improve their game and develop discipline both on and off the course. We appreciate all that Mr. Farrar does for our students! 💙👏
